We have been working with Mondolingua since 2010 on translations and localizations for Tecan, a renowned manufacturer of laboratory instruments. We also jointly localized the Wikitude augmented reality mobile app.

SMART Translations is the exclusive provider of Czech translation and localization services to METTLER TOLEDO, a leading manufacturer of laboratory and industrial equipment and consumables. The onset of our collaboration dates back to 2010 and was a result of a tender whose stringent criteria included the quality assessment of test translations from five different industries, process design based on the requirements defined by the client, and rates (in this order).
In addition to translation and localization services, we also take care of terminology and translation memory management for this strictly quality-oriented client.
We first trained the management of the Czech branch of the Austria-based company Anton Paar in the use of SDL Trados Studio, and have provided the preparation of translation projects and the DTP of translated documents. Subsequently we were also responsible for localizing all documents and the Anton Paar website into Czech.

For the Germany-based company Locatech we localized the EPLAN Electric P8 and EPLAN Fluid, totalling over 1,300,000 words. Working for this highly demanding customer was always inspiring and rewarding in every possible way. Czech regularly took home the highest ratings of all the target languages.
We provided translations of monthly reports, annual reports, machinery manuals, as well as static reports and construction documentation for the reconstruction of the Most production plant between 2001 and 2013.

Stanislav Pokorný from SMART Translations has been delivering lectures on computer-aided translation since 2007 to students of English and German at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University, focusing on SDL Trados Studio and SDL MultiTerm, and helping hundreds of young translators start up their successful careers in the translation industry.
Due to the extraordinary interest, the seminar is now also being offered to students of translatology at the Institute of Romance Languages and Literatures.
Since 2018, we have been providing translation services for publications of research results of the leading Czech expert on tobacco abuse and smoking cessation, Mgr. Adam Kulhanek, PhD and his research team.
In addition, we have jointly localized the Adiquit mobile app into English to help smokers in their efforts to quit. Localization into German is planned, but has been delayed due to the pandemic.
